November 2016 - Balou'Czar (Bon Balou x Alla'Czar x Art Deco) traveled to the YHS finals in Tryon and was a stellar boy all weekend long!  He has had excellent placings all season and finished with the 2yo jump chute YHS High Score for the year!  Huge congratulations to his owner Jo and her family.  


Labor Day Weekend 2016 - Lawless (Legaczy x Nevada) bred by NBF earned excellent ribbons and was very well behaved in the 2yo hunter breeding classes at the Warrenton Horse Show. Congratulations to his owner Angela! 


August 2016 - This year's RPSI inspection at NBF was a success!  It was well attended and the quality of the horses and ponies was wonderful.  

Aberdeen NBF (Ariadus x Alla'Czar x Art Deco) received a Gold Premium score of 8.6 and was named Site Champion!


Legaczy's first grandfoal (is that a word?) Ironrealm (Ironman x Legaczy x Demidoff xx), bred by Herself Farm was also Gold Premium and the high score filly! 

June 2016 - Big News! Legaczy is a grandpa! The first second generation Legaczy has arrived. Ironrealm is Ironman x Legaczy x Demidoff xx, bred by Herself Farm here in Maryland. Congratulations!  She is just lovely.


Labor Day Weekend 2015 - After a summer of light work Limitless made the trip to the Warrenton Horse Show to compete in the final International Hunter Futurity competition.  He was incredibly brave all weekend and had good ribbons, including a 2nd in the 4yo Conformation over fences!  Big thanks to Meg Graham for all her hard work.  See the In The Ribbons page for more photos.


Spring/Summer 2015 - We took the breeding year off here at NBF, but the 2015 Legaczy foal crop from outside mares have continued to impress us! Damsires included Alpenstern, Gentleman, Sandsire, and various good Thoroughbred lines for sport.  Congratulations to all their owners. We love the pictures. Keep sending us updates!

August 2014
- We had a super visit to Hidden Pearl Farm in Bethel, PA for their 2014 RPSI inspection.  Both colts were just super. 

Lawless (Legaczy x Nevada) showed excellent movement for the hunters and despite being quite croup high he received very good scores on conformation as well.  He was Silver Premium overall and his behavior was stellar all day.

Balou'Czar (Bon Balou x Alla'Czar) wowed the judges with his big huge walk and trot and received a 9.0 for movement, 8.6 overall.  This made him Gold Premium colt as well as Site Champion. 


May 2014
- 2011 Legaczy filly Luna went to her first show and hacked around with her teenage owner.  She handled everything like a superstar.  Congratulations Lexi and Luna!


March 2014 - Legaczy kids are growing up! Limitless (2011) has been backed and is now going under saddle.  He was simple and straightforward to start!  Big thanks to Dave Butts for getting him going this spring.


January 2014 - Legaczy's first foal is spending some time with Junior Johnson this winter, learning to jump!  After focusing on dressage early on, he seems to really be enjoying the jumping.  In the photo on the below right, Mackenzie is pictured on the bottom and sire Legaczy is pictured on the top.  Like father, like son!

August 2013
- Giczelle (Galatois x Whimczical x Alla'Czar) received a Gold Premium score at her RPSI inspection and was awarded Site Champion! Thank you to Ralph Johnston for handling. 


July 2013
- Legaczy filly Noblesse was First Premium at her BWP inspection at Hilltop!

2yo London's Legaczy (Legaczy x Princess Warlock xx) wins the 2yo Fillies class at Maryland National!  Congratulations to the Cindric family.


January 5, 2013
- We are very excited to announce that our 2012 filly Moonlight Sonata has been sold to Christine Betz Dressage, LLC.  Christine is a USDF Gold Medalist and has many wins at the Grand Prix level.  We couldn't be more happy that this Legaczy youngster is going to this program!  For more information about Christine please see

November 11, 2012 - Legaczy has successfully completed the 2012 North American 70-day Stallion Test!  He received impressive 9's for his Character and his Willingness to Work!
  We are very proud of his efforts and are so happy to have him home again.


September 29, 2012
- Legaczy and NBF youngsters had a great day at the Future Event Horse Championships at Morven Park.  It was a very well run and organized event and all the babies had solid finishes in their divisions.

August 31 - September 1, 2012 - The Warrenton Horse Show was a success.  Limitless and London's Legaczy were 4th and 3rd in the Non-TB Yearling divisions, and Lanczalot was the star of the weekend, placing 2nd in the International Hunter Futurity Two Year Old Under Saddle class!  This was a big moment for us, since he is the first Legaczy baby to compete under saddle.  Congratulations to his owner Mary Beth Donnelly and his rider/trainer Jonelle Mullen Stern.


August 18, 2012 - Legaczy youngsters had great success in their Future Event Horse divisions at Waredaca.  J Mackenzie won the 3yo division and Karissa Herself was 2nd in the 2yo division.  Congrats to the owners!

ly 23, 2012 - New Blessing Farm hosted its third annual BWP/NAD keuring.  Both of NBF's 2012 foals were presented and received First Premium scores.


June 10, 2012 - Upperville was a great success! 2012 Legaczy filly Moonlight Sonata was 2nd in the very competitive Other Than TB foals class.  Limitless was 2nd in the Other Than TB yearling colts/gelding.  This group was one of the nicest we had seen this year.  And London's Legaczy finished 4th in her group of yearling fillies.  We also took a group in for the Get of Sire class, where we were awarded 3rd. June 2, 2012
- Legaczy youngsters attended the Future Event Horse competition at Waredaca.  J Mackenzie's 3yo debut was true to form and he finished 1st with a score of 79.6, which was also the high point score of the day!  2yo Karrera was a strong 2nd in a nice group of two year olds. Red Letter Day, who was bred at New Blessing Farm and is out of Legaczy's half sister Whimczical scored a 75.4, winning the yearling division and receiving the second high score of the day.  Congratulations to the owners of these fantastic young horses!

May 31, 2012
Legaczy yearlings traveled to Devon and did us proud.  Both Limitless and London's Legaczy were awarded 5th (out of 15 and 16), among two fantastic groups of yearlings. Both babies handled their first overnight show like stars and we couldn't be more pleased with them.  Much fun was had by all. See the In The Ribbons page for more photos.

March 2012 - Legaczy yearlings Limitless and London's Legaczy both made successful hunter breeding debuts at the Showplace Spring Festival and the Maryland National.  See the In The Ribbons page for details.

September 2011 - Legaczy youngsters travelled to Morven Park for FEH East Coast Championships on September 30th.  The weather was beautiful and we had a wonderful day.  Karissa Herself, owned by Herself Farm was 2nd in the yearling fillies class, and J Mackenzie, owned by Lauren Oyarzo won the 2yo colts and gelding class.  Mackenzie then returned to the ring for the 2yo Championship where he was awarded top honors as the 2yo Grand Champion!  At the end of the day he was invited back to compete for the Overall Championship where he finished 3rd (out of 35+)!  We couldn't be happier with these two babies.  Big thanks to handler Ralph Johnston and congratulations to the owners of these nice young horses.

Legaczy is now approved for breeding with RPSI! 
This means his foals will now be eligible for either registry, as well as IHF nomination.  We are considering 70-day testing him in 2012. 

July 2011
- The BWP/NAD inspection at New Blessing Farm was a success!  Mackenzie won the 2yo Futurity.  Limitless and Luna (now London's Legaczy) both received Premium scores and Limitless was site champion! 


June 2011 - Congratulations to owner/breeder Lauren Powell Oyarzo and Legaczy's first foal Mackenzie on their win in the 2yo Future Event Horse division.  This was Mackenzie's first competition since showing as a foal and we could not have asked for a better behaved young man. Big thanks to handler Ralph Johnston. 

2009 Legaczy gelding Mackenzie

2010 Legaczy filly Karrera finished 2nd in the Yearling Future Event Horse division.  She also completed the requirements for her BWP Certificate of Merit.  Congratulations to owner/breeder Rita Brueckner on her filly's success!  We think she is lovely.

2010 Legaczy colt Killian's Irish Red, now named Lanczalot made his hunter breeding debut at Devon.  He placed 8th in a very large class of fantastic yearlings.  His manners and behavior were impeccable and we are very proud of him.  Congratulations to owner Mary Beth Donnelly and handler Jonelle Mullen Stern.

- All of the 2011 foals have arrived!

April 2011 - Legaczy successfully made the move to 2nd level.  He and rider/trainer Christine Betz received good scores and finished 3rd in a large group of nice competitors.

November 2010
- Legaczy completed his final 1st level dressage requirement for his BWP license.  Competing against older horses, he received excellent scores that included 8's. 

August 2010
- Legaczy and rider/trainer Ken Krome made the trip to the Warrenton Horse Show, where Legaczy earned good ribbons in the 4yo performance division of the International Hunter Futurity and won a large unrestricted over fences class. 

June 2010
- Legaczy competed at the Upperville Colt & Horse Show
in the 3/4yo Hunters. He and Ken Krome earned excellent ribbons in all three classes, and Legaczy continued to impress with his jumping style and his wonderful attitude.
